$aFETY & $OUL$ Release Their Emotional Single "Anti-Depressants"
"Anti-Depressants" is a slow melodic "Emo Rap" song Produced by BlvckBox's own HeLL$HoT as his first in label beat use. The Track features talks on $aFETY's Mental health dealing with dysphoria and addiction, It also Features talks on Heartbreak from Featured Artist $OUL$. Recorded in both artist's bedrooms it brings out a "close to home" vibe to the song with it also being mixed and mastered in $aFETY's Home. When asked about the creation of this song $aFETY had this to say "I fell in love with the beat immediately, constantly thinking okay so how can I do this beat justice. Me and $OUL$ had been talking about how when we first worked on a collab song we felt like we didn't do ourselves justice and so we started working on this one, Pretty much immediately after talking on instagram live about I started working on the open. Originally I planned to do 3 layers of vocals but felt better doing 5 to bring that feeling of the sound surrounding you". $OUL$ then added "I wanted to talk about how much of a struggle it is dealing with mental illness and trying to stay sober while someone you loved and trusted was constantly lying to you". We at BlvckBox thought they captured the emotion and feelings very well, also that they definitely did the beat justice. This song being out for 14 hours has gained 200+ Streams on Spotify, Making this the artist's best received song so far. "Anti-Depressants" was Performed at 20 World's First show in Thirty3hz Guildford, London a month before the release and is due to be performed by $OUL$ opening for Face the Wolves on the 18th of March at the Holroyd Arms Guildford, London. Overall we at BlvckBox think that this song has true potential to gain a lot of traction towards both artists as it is definitely one to look out for.
Zaex Talks on His Upcoming EP
We interviewed ZaeX on April 8th about his upcoming EP which he has revealed will be titled "Color me Blue", when asked what we could expect from this EP he said "Expect a more chilled out/happier vibe from the EP as its a collection of Alt Rock/Pop Punk type beats. I want to keep exploring the Alt rock genre to really see how quickly i can change to that genre as its something i wanted to do for a while". We also asked about who we may see as Collab's on this project and it was said that blvckbox's own Kxrb will be featuring on the project and a possible feature from an artist named BRZY which Zae is waiting on the features back from now. Zae has been posting many snippets to Instagram stories over the past week, we at Blvckbox think that the style he is going for hasn't been done before by him but it definitely works with his voice and overall energy. There is no confirmed release date yet but we do hope that it comes in time for summer as it would definitely be the perfect fit for a warm summer.
The Acrylics on Their Number 1 Hit
The original inspiration for "Riley (I Wanna)" came from the socially accepted normalisation of the party culture in Scotland. We ,the acrylics, wanted to highlight the irony in the "go out, make mistakes, regret it, repeat" mindset. Throughout the song we follow a character, Riley, engaging in this "typical night out". We listen as Riley get's drunk, engaging in substance, starts petty fights then arriving home in a taxi with no memory of the night's activities.
The chorus " I Wanna wanna wanna wanna" describes the desire in Scotland's young adults to have a similar night to themselves, engaging in the drinking, substance and the blurry fights , as a band we knew Scotland's reputation for this type of excursion and desire to change that ; "And he'll do it all again when the weekend comes" explores Riley's lack of remorse and wishing to repeat it again and again.
As with all of our music we always want it to reach the masses ,we feel we have a lot to say about the world we live in, we'd expected it to have placed in the top 100 charts but never had we dreamt that "Riley" would have reached #1! It doesn't feel real just yet. It's exciting to have already proven ourselves in a way, We definitely have the potential to push even further with beyond our limits and live life with no regrets! We're seeing fruits from our hard labour and it's more motivation to keep on. We all come from small towns in Scotland , our hope is to make our band more than just that and make a difference to music , with our own edge and unique sound.
Our inspirations are widely diverse through not only genre but also decade from as far back as the great Sinatra to those like ourselves such as Oasis and Gorillaz , nobody is anything like us and we pride ourselves on being different. Our inspirational artists not only influence our style but also help us to go further.

Zaex Releases his Brand-New Album “World of Color"
Zaex(18)from San Antonio TX released his new bedroom pop album “World of Color” on the 15th October, The album featured artists Kxrb and Brzy who have been close friends to Zae over Instagram as they have created and grown as artists together. Each track tells a story of heartbreak and the emotions that go on as time passes giving it all that extra bit of life.
Zaex has always had a unique style to the Blvckbox roster, A lot of his previous works have been written about heartbreak and his views on the world. Creating music was always a dream of Zae’s due to his love for music and the many genres that he grew up listening to. We asked him why he chose “World of Color” for the title and he replied, “I chose the name due to my many tastes in music describing them as the color palette of my mind, and that my previous EP was titled Color me Blue.”
The album is truly one that should not be missed if you enjoy the pop or indie genre. We at Blvckbox released snippets to 50 members of the public with the majority voting the album 4.5 stars out of 5 and when asked to comment on what they enjoyed about the album some said, “I like the instrumentals as theyre not something I’d usually listen to, the mix on the vocals is very clean too while still keeping that bedroom feel.” We also asked the featured artists what their opinions on the album were and they replied “We loved working with Zae to create something so unique and we cant wait for everyone to hear it.”

UNDERWATERKASH, The Best to Come with release of "Ransom"
UNDERWATERKASH the Atlanta born, London based rap-star hit the underground today with an unforgettable track "Ransom". the song features synth melodies and distorted basslines not unheard of from UWK but the consistency within his discography is something many people cannot out-do. UWK while being known for this style also experiments with different flows and styles heard especially in "No Pen II:Anarchist".
We spoke to Kash about Ransom and this is what they had to say;
BBE: What were your inspirations about the track?
UWK: "I made ransom the same hour I made violence featuring anti!I. I was wrapping up my album no pen 2: anarchist and I need a bit more energy in the beginning section. In these two tracks I wanted to prove that I could deliver rage without having to yell like I usually do. I think I accomplished it."
BBE: How did you find the process of making the song/video
UWK: "The song came to me fairly easily. I think I did 3 takes/freestyles to capture the main vocals. It was a very simple process. For the video itself I referenced fourfives video “I decide.” I had been sit-in on the idea for a year and jus been waiting for the right time to use it. I even spoke to fourfive(@cmfourfive) a bit later last year about how his visuals have really inspired me and he basically gave me the go ahead to take inspiration but just to make it my own. With the help of tedious visuals we did. "
BBE : Do you think that Tedious Visuals captured what you were liking for visually?
UWK: "He captured exactly what I wanted out of the video and even more. The main thing I wanted was the fast cuts and transitions. It’s something I feel is an essential element of any of visuals. It helps express the fast paced life I’ve been living for the past few years hahaha"
BBE: What can we expect in future from you?
UWK:"At the moment from me you can actually find me about the london techno scene. I found a new love the past few months, the art of doing. So recently my day to day is being in front of those turntables mixing. I have my debut event on the 3rd of may at the cause. It’s trippy because I’m opening for the party that inspired me to do this in the first place. Life is funny like that. Even though my daily is about techno I’ll still be releasing more music. I managed to record a massive library from lockdown to the end of 2023 so I’m super excited to finally share the gold I’m sitting on."
As of now we patiently await the next release from UNDERWATERKASH and highly suggest that if you haven't already that you listen to "Ransom" as it is an absolute 10/10 song with lots of energy.

When asked about his feelings on the night Purge had this to say "Yeah it was amazing bro like it was everything I wanted it to be. This was the first time I'd hosted an event and it went perfectly.
